MLK Holiday NBA Picks

Happy Martin Luther King, Jr. Day!

Here are today's MLK Holiday NBA Picks:

STEPHEN CURRY Golden State Warriors | #30 PG
DraftKings Salary: $10,300
Next Game: Den@GS (01/19 4:00 PM ET)

Stephen Curry is playing at home against Denver in what looks to be a high scoring game. If you have the guts to take him at his high salary price, you are probably not going to be disappointed as he has a floor of 40+ fantasy points with his ceiling at 60+.

GORAN DRAGIC Phoenix Suns | #1 PG
DraftKings Salary: $6,800
Next Game: LAL@Pho (01/19 10:00 PM ET)

Goric Dragic is going against Jeremy Lin and the Lakers, which are the worst NBA team in defending the PG position.

LOU WILLIAMS Toronto Raptors | #23 SG
DraftKings Salary: $4,200
Next Game: Tor@Mil (01/19 8:00 PM ET)

Lou Williams will be facing the 22nd ranked NBA team in defending the Shooting Guard position. He has hit 25+ fantasy points 6 out of 10 games with a high ceiling of 44 fantasy points.

JEFF GREEN Memphis Grizzlies | #32 SF
DraftKings Salary: $4,900
Next Game: Dal@Mem (01/19 5:00 PM ET)

Jeff Green is a fine option in the Grizzlies offense since being traded there. He has shown in the past two games that he will take shots and get his points. Although his price has risen a bit, he is still undervalued as he averages 27 fantasy points per game.

BLAKE GRIFFIN Los Angeles Clippers | #32 PF
DraftKings Salary: $9,800
Next Game: Bos@LAC (01/19 3:30 PM ET)

Blake Griffin is facing the worst NBA team in defending his position. He will have a field day with his rebounds off bad shooters. He still will see his 35+ minutes even if this game becomes a blow out.

ALEXIS AJINCA New Orleans Pelicans | #42 C
DraftKings Salary: $3,700
Next Game: NO@NY (01/19 5:30 PM ET)

If Anthony Davis is out for the game, Ajinca is an automatic plug and play. He has proven that he can put up monster lines as he did last game. Remember Whiteside?

ALEX LEN Phoenix Suns | #21 C
DraftKings Salary: $4,800
Next Game: LAL@Pho (01/19 10:00 PM ET)

Alex Len is another great option to look at for the Center position. He will be playing at home against the Lakers, which are 26th ranked in defending Centers. He'll be playing garbage minutes if this game becomes a blowout.

Super Sunday NBA Picks

Only 3 games in today's NBA slate which really limits the things that could go wrong today!

Here are my Super Sunday Picks:

KAWHI LEONARD San Antonio Spurs | #2 SF
DraftKings Salary: $7,500
Next Game: Uta@SA (01/18 7:00 PM ET)

Before Kawhi got hurt, he was averaging 35 fantasy points per game with 50+ ceiling.

I like him for today's homecoming game against Utah, after scoring 39 fantasy points away at Portland last game.

The home crowd will welcome him home with open arms and cheer him on as he plays.

NIKOLA VUCEVIC Orlando Magic | #9 C
DraftKings Salary: $8,800
Next Game: OKC@Orl (01/18 6:00 PM ET)

Nikola had a terrible performance last game and is looking to rebound and dominate against OKC's front court.

He is a bit pricey, but I like his huge potential and high ceiling.

CHANNING FRYE Orlando Magic | #8 PF
DraftKings Salary: $4,500
Next Game: OKC@Orl (01/18 6:00 PM ET)

He is a must play only if Tobias Harris is out.

Frye has been playing heavy minutes scoring 32 and 37 fantasy points in the past two games.

At Channing's current salary, he is an automatic plug and play for me if Harris is out.

Even if Tobias plays, Frye is still more than capable of reaching 5X value the way he has been playing of late.

Saturday's NBA Super Picks 01/17/2015

Welcome to Vincent Smart's Daily Fantasy Sports Blog.

We are going to review the NBA Super Picks for today.

Let's cover the Point Guard position first and go from there.

Note: DraftKings data will be used in this article.

Point Guard:

MO WILLIAMS Minnesota Timberwolves | #25 PG
DraftKings Salary: $5,800
Next Game: Min@Den (01/17 9:00 PM ET)

I'm still riding the Mo Williams train. He has been extremely hot in the past two games, scoring 69 fantasy points in the first game and 42 fantasy points last night. In the last ten days, he has averaged 46.3 fantasy points. If Mo plays well tonight like he did in the past two games, he can hit 5X value in the first half alone.

Shooting Guard:

JAMES HARDEN Houston Rockets | #13 SG
DraftKings Salary: $10,700
Next Game: GS@Hou (01/17 8:00 PM ET)

Out of all the options in the SG category, you have to go with James Harden. Everyone will own him tonight. That means if you fade him and he goes off, you sink your ship. On the other hand, if he doesn't do well and you have him in your line up, you won't be hurting as bad because everyone else will have him also.

Small Forward:

TONY ALLEN Memphis Grizzlies | #9 SF
DraftKings Salary: $4,000
Next Game: Por@Mem (01/17 9:00 PM ET)

Tony Allen is one of my favorite players that is consistently hitting at least 5X value on a regular basis. He is good for 20 fantasy points tonight to reach 5X value, but has a higher ceiling, especially more so with Conley in a boot and questionable tonight.

Power Forward:

KENNETH FARIED Denver Nuggets | #35 PF
DraftKings Salary: $7,400
Next Game: Min@Den (01/17 9:00 PM ET)
Kenneth Faried is playing in a favorable matchup against Minnesota, a team that is 27th ranked in defending Power Forwards. Vegas high O/U line indicates that it will be a high scoring affair to give Faried plenty of run to get his rebounds and points.

Center:

BISMACK BIYOMBO Charlotte Hornets | #8 C
DraftKings Salary: $4,200
Next Game: Ind@Cha (01/17 7:00 PM ET)

Bismack has been performing very well in the past two games getting tons of rebounds. Kemba Walker isn't playing tonight, which makes Bismack even more appealing. The coach seems to like him and giving him good minutes. He's an easy 25 fantasy points if he continues to play decent.
